About Craig

Excellence in the practice of Dental Medicine is a proud tradition in the Spodak family. Dr. Craig Spodak is a third generation dentist who earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the acclaimed Tufts University, graduating with highest honors. He joined his father, Dr. Myles Spodak, in his practice in Delray Beach, FL in 1998 with a dream to change the way patients experience dental care. He inherited the practice in 2006 and immediately began to develop a new vision for the modern dental practice with a goal to deliver comprehensive dental care from a team of general and specialty dentists in one convenient, 13,000 square foot, state-of-the-art, LEED Gold Certified facility.

His dream was to change the way patients experience dental care and he worked tirelessly to reinvent the patient perception of just how great a dental appointment could be. He believes that everything boils downs to connections and works hard to not only create a team culture that fosters a familial atmosphere, but also positions the company as a pillar in the community.

The Spodak Dental Group team has always seized the opportunity to give back, whether it be time, resources, money or in-kind donations. However, for their 40th Anniversary, they decided to make a nationwide impact with a mission to feed America’s hungry. Thus began the partnership with patient and friend, Tony Robbins, and Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief foundation.

In honor of their 40th Anniversary, the team launched a “40 Days of Giving” campaign to raise $20,000 in the 40 days preceding the June 2 anniversary date, and donated all monies to Feeding America. Tony Robbins matched the Group’s net proceeds, dollar for dollar, to ensure that 440,000 meals will be distributed through the network of food banks served by Feeding America.

But, the reach does not stop there. The All-Star Smiles Foundation was born just out of an idea and a conversation with friend and patient, Marlins All-Star fielder Giancarlo Stanton. The partnership began when Stanton was treated at the dental office after suffering dental damage during a baseball game in 2014. He fell in love with the culture and team of the practice and decided to join forces with Dr. Craig to combat child tooth decay. The efforts have since been formalized and the mission of the Foundation is to eradicate the disease of childhood tooth decay, which is one of the most common diseases of childhood. The All-Star Smiles Foundation will provide a safe and comfortable dental experience, at no cost, to underserved children in the South Florida area, and is working to organize the Inaugural All-Star Smiles Day to be held nationwide starting in 2017.

Beyond his professional interests, Dr. Craig is very active in the Delray Beach community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the All-Star Smiles Foundation; the Board of Directors for Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA); has served as Chairman of the Delray Beach Planning and Zoning Board; is a national lecturer for creating team culture in business; is a fitness and motor sports enthusiast; a champion of ecological responsibility; an accomplished private plane pilot; and is conversant in five languages. Along with his wife Zaicha, he lives in Delray Beach, Fla. with their two children, Sage and Gavin.
